توقيع اتفاقية للاستكشاف والإنتاج في منطقة الامتياز 54 “كراون”

وقّعت وزارة الطاقة والمعادن اتفاقية استكشاف وإنتاج مع شركة أوكيو للاستكشاف والإنتاج وشركة جينل إنيرجي لتطوير منطقة الامتياز 54، المعروفة بـ”مربع كروان”، والتي تمتد على مساحة 5,632 كيلومترًا مربعًا في محافظة الوسطى، وقّع الاتفاقية معالي المهندس سالم بن ناصر العوفي، وزير الطاقة والمعادن، ومن جانب شركة أوكيو للاستكشاف والإنتاج المهندس أحمد الأزكوي الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة، أما من جانب شركة جينل إنيرجي فوقع الإتفاقية بول وير، الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة.
بموجب الاتفاقية، ستمتلك أوكيو للاستكشاف والإنتاج حصة تشغيلية بنسبة 60%، بينما ستمتلك جينل إنيرجي الحصة البالغة 40% كشريك غير مشغل، ستشمل المرحلة الأولية من الاتفاقية، التي تمتد لثلاث سنوات، استثمارات تصل إلى 25 مليون دولار أمريكي، تتضمن تنفيذ مسوحات زلزالية ثلاثية الأبعاد، وحفر آبار استكشافيةوإعادة تقييم بعض الحفر و سوف تدخل الاتفاقية حيز التنفيذ بعد صدور المرسوم السلطاني بالتصديق عليها.
وبهذه المناسبة، صرّح معالي المهندس سالم بن ناصر العوفي، وزير الطاقة والمعادن، قائلاً: “يمثل توقيع هذه الاتفاقية خطوة هامة ضمن جهود سلطنة عُمان لتعزيز الاستكشاف وتنمية الموارد الهيدروكربونية، من خلال توسيع نطاق الاستكشاف في مناطق الامتياز بالشراكة مع أوكيو للاستكشاف والإنتاج وجينل إنيرجي، وتؤكد التزامنا المستمر بزيادة الاحتياطيات الهيدروكربونية وتعزيز استمرارية الإنتاج، إلى جانب تأكيد مكانة السلطنة كوجهة استثمارية جاذبة لقطاع الطاقة، مدعومة ببيئة تنافسية تتيح فرصًا نوعية للشركات العالمية الرائدة، ويمثل تطوير المنطقة 54 امتدادًا لاستراتيجيتنا الطموحة في استكشاف مناطق جديدة وتعظيم الاستفادة من مواردنا الطبيعية، مستندين إلى النجاحات التي حققتها شركة أوكيو للاستكشاف والإنتاج في هذا المجال على سبيل المثال لا الحصر الزيادة في الانتاج الملحوظه في حقل بساط ، ونتطلع إلى أن تسهم هذه الاتفاقية في تحقيق نتائج ملموسة تدعم استمرارية إنتاج النفط والغاز، وتعزز من مساهمة القطاع في دعم الاقتصاد الوطني”.
وتعليقا على ذلك، قال المهندس أحمد الأزكوي الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة أوكيو للاستكشاف والانتاج”يؤكد توقيع اتفاقية الاستكشاف ومشاركة الإنتاج لمنطقة الامتياز 54 التزام أوكيو للاستكشاف والانتاج بتوظيف خبرتها الواسعة في السعي وراء المزيد من فرص النمو. نحن متحمسون للشراكة مع شركة دولية ذات خبرة مثل شركة جينل للطاقة. تجسد هذه الشراكة إنجازات ومساهمات أوكيو للاستكشاف والانتاج في قطاع الاستكشاف والانتاج في سلطنة عمان. يعكس إضافة هذه المنطقة كرابع منطقة امتياز يتم تشغيلها من قبل الشركة إلى محفظتها بالتعاون مع شريك دولي القدرات التشغيلية لشركة أوكيو للاستكشاف والانتاج. ولا يسعنا إلا أن نشكر وزارة الطاقة والمعادن على هذه الفرصة وثقتها في أوكيو للاستكشاف والانتاج ونتطلع إلى بدء شراكة مثمرة مع جينل للطاقة”.

Ministry of Energy and Minerals Inkpacts Exploration and Production Agreement for Concession Area 54 Development
The Ministry of Energy and Minerals has entered into an Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement with OQEP and Genel Energy to develop Concession Area 54, known as the “Karawan Concession,” spanning an area of 5,632 square kilometers in Al Wusta Governorate. The agreement was signed by His Excellency Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, Mr. Ahmed Al Azkawi, CEO of OQEP, and Mr. Paul Weir, CEO of Genel Energy.
Pursuant to the agreement, OQEP shall maintain a 60% operating interest, while Genel Energy shall retain the remaining 40% as a non-operating partner. The initial phase of the agreement, spanning three years, will involve investments of up to $25 million, which include the execution of 3D seismic surveys, drilling of exploration wells, and the re-evaluation of existing wells. The agreement shall enter into force upon the promulgation of a Royal Decree ratifying its terms.
On this occasion, His Excellency Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, stated: “The execution of this agreement signifies a pivotal step in the Sultanate of Oman’s endeavor to bolster hydrocarbon exploration and development. Through the expansion of exploration activities in concession areas, in collaboration with OQEP and Genel Energy, we reaffirm our steadfast dedication to increasing hydrocarbon reserves and ensuring sustained production. This initiative reinforces Oman’s attractiveness as a prime investment hub for the energy sector, underpinned by a competitive environment that presents unparalleled opportunities for leading international companies. The development of Area 54 is a testament to our ambitious strategy to explore new frontiers and optimize the utilization of our natural resources, building upon OQEP’s proven track record, notably exemplified by the substantial production growth in the Bisat field. We are confident that this agreement will deliver tangible outcomes, sustaining oil and gas production and significantly contributing to the national economy.”
Commenting on this, Mr. Ahmed Al Azkawi, CEO of OQEP, said: “With the signing of the Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement for Area 54, OQEP demonstrates its unwavering commitment to leveraging our substantial expertise to drive further growth.
