Ministry of Commerce and Industry Stops the issuance of “To Whom It May Concern” Certificate
Ministry of Commerce and Industry will stop the service of issuing all types of (To Whom It May Concern) certificates from the Ministry’s main building and its Directorates and Administrations in the Governorates starting from 1/11/2016.
This step comes after providing the service and training for all staff involved in Invest Easy System from all concerned bodies including Ministry of Manpower, Royal Oman Police, Muscat Municipality, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs, Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, Ministry of Tourism and Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The service enables investors to login Invest Easy System to extract the required data without the need visit the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Noting that since the launch of the project, Invest Easy Portal has provided more than 4 million of data to government bodies. Also investors can login the portal and access to commercial registers’ data of any company through the service of (Search in the list of commercial registers).
The ministry aims through stopping this service to facilitate the procedures for investors and citizens to enable them from completing their business transactions anywhere without the need to visit the Ministry’s building, noting that Invest Easy Portal is providing 76 online services available for all investors within 24 hours, seven days a week with high quality.
The ministry asks all government and private bodies to cooperate with them in the next phase by not asking citizens or investors to submit “To Whom It May Concern” Certificate from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
